Welcome to my new page dedicated to my home country of Scotland! I write a lot about Scotland, and I wanted to showcase it separately to the worldwide destinations I write about. “An Orcadian At Home”, let’s say.
I’ve got loads more Scotland content to come – so keep checking back for new posts!

Argyll & Bute only made it onto my radar recently, but it packs a punch with coastal villages & magical castles!

Glasgow is very underrated compared to the nearby capital, but is very much worth a visit in its own right! I am working on a complete guide to Glasgow, but for now, here are some gorgeous photos of the artsy side of the city!

Ah, the Isle Of Skye. One of the most popular areas of Scotland, and yet I only visited for the first time last year! I am far from an expert (yet) but I really enjoyed my time there and I’m sure more visits and posts will come!

I cannot even tell you how much I adore Glencoe. The gem of Scotland and one of the best road trips in the UK, not to mention an absolute paradise for hikers and photographers. More posts to come!

Possibly my new favourite place in Scotland, the Isle Of Mull is a treasure trove of pretty villages, fascinating history and lots of mindblowing islands, like the volcanic rock of Staffa and the beautiful island of Iona.

Fife is incredibly overlooked, admittedly myself included! This needs to change because there is so much on offer, from the best seafood in Scotland to adorable villages!

What Aberdeenshire lacks in mountainous scenery (and there is even some of that if you look for it!), it more than makes up with a plethora of epic castles and coastal towns.

Perthshire is fast becoming one of my favourite Scottish counties, with its beautiful lochs and sweeping glens. It’s also hands down the BEST place in Scotland to visit in autumn!
