When I was going through my photos from San Francisco to try and choose which ones to use for my blog post about our time there, I really struggled to narrow it down to less than 50.
The main reason for this is because San Francisco is full – FULL – of pretty buildings.
Of course, this image is famous on its own; the renowned “postcard row” of Victorian houses overlooking Alamo Square park with a stunning city back drop. I dread to even think how much these houses are worth.
But the truth is – this style of house is EVERYWHERE in San Francisco!
By the time we left the city, Ash would groan every time I stopped. “Not another one! You must have so many photos of buildings now!!!”
When I was shortlisting my photos, I did notice that yes, I took way too many photos of buildings. I joked on Twitter that maybe I’ll have to make a photo post dedicated to them. And you know what – why not?!
So without further ado, here are just some of my favourite buildings around San Francisco.
A few more of the houses surrounding Alamo Square.
A slightly different style to most of this post – but it’s still a very pretty theatre!
Opposite the Castro theatre – The Cove is where we ended up eating lunch, and Knobs is “the gayest shop ever” that I posted a photo of in my last post!
Apologies for the wash-out from the sun, but look at those colours!
One of many steep streets we walked up! This was probably one of the steepest, though.
Lombard Street doesn’t have that many pretty houses, but I really liked this one, especially with all the bushes!
Even some businesses use the Victorian houses!
I freaking loved this one!
Doesn’t the one on the left look like a gorgeous Gothic mansion?!
Another awesome building in Castro!
I don’t think I have an obsession – just an extreme appreciation. 😉
…
That’s if you forget the fact that I took all of these IN ONE DAY.
…
*ahem*
What do you think?!

Ha! I understand your obsession – I’m exactly the same when I find a place with houses I Iove. Thank goodness digital photography was invented and now I can snap away as much as I like. These houses are gorgeous by the way.

Haha – I know, I try not to take too many photos, but I still do!
