Sintra is by far the most popular day trip destination from Lisbon, and I have soooo many photos to prove why. So many, in fact, that while I wrote about our day trip to Sintra in my Lisbon post, I didn't go into great detail because I had way too many photos to include, and… Continue reading A Photo Guide To Sintra, The Best Day Trip From Lisbon

Lisbon is one of my favourite cities in the world! In a total quarter-life-crisis moment, I decided that the logical thing to do once my summer hostel job ended was to go and work in another hostel. In Portugal. It was a volunteer position in Faro so I only went for three weeks, but I had so much fun and unexpectedly fell in love with the country! As well as spending time on the Algarve, I’ve now also been to Porto and back to Lisbon.

Loving Lisbon: A Perfect 3 Day Itinerary
After a short time in Porto, we were off further south to the bigger, busier and sunnier city of Lisbon. It's no secret that I fell in love with Lisbon on my first visit to Portugal, and I couldn't wait to get back to the iconic tiles, the beautiful terraces and even the leg-killing hills.… Continue reading Loving Lisbon: A Perfect 3 Day Itinerary
The Best Of One Day In Porto – Viewpoints, Bookshops & Port
Knowing how much I absolutely loved Lisbon a few years ago, I was very excited to not only be getting back there, but also to finally hit up Porto. I've always, always heard good things about Porto - it feels like Lisbon's little sister with even more hills. We were only going to have one… Continue reading The Best Of One Day In Porto – Viewpoints, Bookshops & Port
10 Countries I Want To Go Back To
I've been reminiscing a lot recently. I've also been looking forward to the next few months, and the realisation that I'll be 30 at the beginning of next year made me think of my gradually-forgotten goal of visiting 30 countries, which I assumed would be long reached by now. The truth is, I stopped country-counting… Continue reading 10 Countries I Want To Go Back To
Exploring the Best Beaches on the Algarve
For some reason, I had never fully considered the Algarve as a top beach destination, but then I rarely regard popular beach destinations at all. But when I was researching where to go for some winter sun, cheap flights were coming up for Portugal and I found some perfect opportunities for volunteering on the coast,… Continue reading Exploring the Best Beaches on the Algarve
Visiting The Algarve: Why You Shouldn’t Skip Faro
I have to admit, I had no idea what I was signing up for when I decided to volunteer in a hostel on the Algarve on Portugal's south coast. Anyone who knows me won't be surprised that I couldn't pass up an opportunity to work in a hostel called Le Penguin, but on further research,… Continue reading Visiting The Algarve: Why You Shouldn’t Skip Faro
24 Hours In Lisbon: Falling In Love With Portugal’s Capital
I'm afraid I have to admit to you guys that I've started this post off with a lie: I didn't spend 24 hours in Lisbon. I barely spent 22. This is a shame though, because the rest of the title is not a lie; I really did fall in love with Portugal's capital, and have… Continue reading 24 Hours In Lisbon: Falling In Love With Portugal’s Capital
